Mzansi Kwaito and House Awards
South Africa’s finest in Kwaito and House music will be celebrated and awarded on the 12th November 2016 at the Walter Sisulu Square.
The Mzansi Kwaito House Music Awards was founded to provide a platform for South African Kwaito and House musicians as well as award artists who are leaders in various categories.
The official hashtag for this event is #MKHMA2016, during the time leading up to the main event, #MKHMA2016 will interview artists and showcased the making of their videos, attend album launches and events related to Kwaito and House – all of which will be showcased on our YouTube channel, thus providing a platform throughout the year for the artists and sharing the lastest in Kwaito and House music entertainment with the audience.
Founder & CEO
Perfecta Khumalo is the CEO and Founder of the Mzansi Kwaito & House Music Awards. She currently works as an HRD Specialist for Sun International – Sun City. Born and raised in Diepkloof Soweto, Perfecta attended Xolani High School in Newcastle Osizweni where she passed her matric with distinction. After school she obtained her Higher Diploma in Adult Education from UNISA. She also obtained her Honours Degree in Adult Education at Wits University. Perfecta didn’t stop there; she also studied with Maccauvlei Institution and obtained her National Diploma in OD ETDP. Perfecta also has a musical background as a Music director in her church “Ebukhoneni Bakhe Ministries in Mogwase. As a CEO and Founder of Mzansi Kwaito & House Music Awards her vision is to honour, recognise and appreciate kwaito & house artists. Her mission is to teach the youth & our country (South Africa) that Kwaito & house still exist.
Thulani holds an Electric mechanical Engineering Bachelor in Management Leadership and Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) His passion with mixing music and working on engineering and electronic project added him to the MKHMA team.
PA to the CEO
Tshepiso Mlala born and breed in a small township Called Dube George Goch Found her love and passion for music at a very young and tender age while listening to the likes of Paul Mtirara ,the late Eddie Makhosonke Zondi Dj Fresh to name a few,which lead her to pursue a career within the entertainment industry and enrolled with Jeppe college of commerce and computer studies and obtained her diploma in Media Techniques specializing in Radio Studio Production and a National Certificate in Journalism in 2014. She then furthered her studies In 2016 and completed her national certificate in Public Relation Management and a short in Organization Management.
Mr Sunshine Tutu Mosime
Born and bred in Mabeskraal, West of Rustenburg. He completed his matric at Rakoko High. He later enrolled for paralegal studies at Technikon Pretoria. He brings in wealth of experience in customer service and Entertainment management. He is currently studying LLB through UNISA.
PR & Communications Officer
Mondli Mlauza is a young, ambitious and goal driven young man with a passion for radio and music. Having volunteered as a radio content producer for the likes of UJFM and Jozi FM, Mondli has used his knowledge and experience in radio to build a working relationship with members of the media and has also amassed a positive social media presence that will be used to market you and your music. His vast knowledge of public relations has also been boosted by his mentor, Sheila Afari, who has advised him on his journey of PR. Over the years, Mondli has worked on social media campaigns with the likes of GigI Lamayne, Chad Da Don and DJ Maphorisa. He has also done PR for a number of upcoming artists such as Chealex Mpanza and DJ Miss T, to name a few. He is currently the PR & Communications Officer for the Mzansi Kwaito and House Awards and was instrumental in the planning and implementation of the awards 2018 PR campaign
